Many unprocessed animal products naturally vary in size from piece to piece. If you sell product with catch weight you will have to use our price adjustment system.


In the product details section you will see a checkbox that asks if the final price of the product might be adjusted:


If you select this box the price adjustment section will expand:


In this section you will be required to enter the price/pound or kilogram, the average weight, and the weight fluctuation range.


Example: A producer is selling whole chickens with a price of $3.75/lb that fluctuate between 5-7 lbs. When entering the weight and fluctuation range the producer knows they have to enter and average weight of 6 lbs. and to account for the 5-7 lbs range they enter a fluctuation range of +/- 1lb. Once the price and average weight is entered the system will automatically calculate the unit price of $22.50. The producer then selects the most appropriate measurement of 'Each.'


The system will display this average unit price in your shop profile:


In the front end product profile, buyers will see the difference:


In the front end product profile, buyers will see the price range of the product and they are informed that they will be charge the maximum price for this product and then given a credit based on the final price of the product.
